CHAMOMILE LATTE
If you’re having trouble settling down, handling anxiety or getting to sleep, try this chamomile latte. For anxiety and insomnia, I highly recommend trying valerian tincture daily mixed with water. The chamomile and valerian in this latte is the perfect match for a blissful night’s sleep.
Most caffeinated drinks should be avoided before bed, so teas like chamomile and valerian are a good option. Chamomile and valerian have a sedative effect on the body, and when incorporated in an effective bedtime routine, they can aid a night of peaceful sleep. For example, a hot bath and then this latte, you will not be awake for much longer.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup plant based milk
2 tbsp chamomile flowers (or 2 chamomile teabags)
Valerian tincture (roughly 20-28 drops or according to guideline on bottle)
1/2 tsp coconut sugar (OPTIONAL)
METHOD
Heat up a small saucepan on a medium heat.
Add milk and chamomile flowers. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Strain milk into a mug.
Add valerian tincture and stir.
Add sweetener if you wish.
