Mac n cheese

This recipe is super easy because it uses ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen cupboard! The key ingredient is nutritional yeast, which is available at most health food stores (like holland & barrett, planet organic or whole foods market). Nooch can be used in most recipes that call for cheese so experiment with it!

 

Ingredients

 

4 cups pasta (macaroni, fusilli, whatever small pasta you have at hand)

1/2 cup vegan butter

3/4 cup all purpose flour (sub for gluten-free flour if needed)

620ml alpro barista oat milk (add gradually)

1/2 cup nutritional yeast

1/4 tsp each of black pepper, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, dried thym, onion adn garlic granules

1/2 tsp aromat

1 veg stock pot

60g violife cheddar style block

For crispy topping, nutritional yeast and drizzle of olive oil, chopped spring onions
